I hope this is a fun topic. While I am not a equipment whore but I do exhibit some whorish tendencies. So my question is what is the next camera thing that you lust for, need or just plain want. I spend most days Just looking on ebay for camera stuff. My latest addiction has been quantum flashes and battery packs. But the thing that I really want is some studio space where I can stretch and use this stuff to my leisure. I also want a Nikkor 60 f 2.8 micro and the 180 F 2.8 lenses, they would make good walk around lenses.

I'll "bite", especially if you might be Santa. I want an Olympus 12-100 f4 (stand alone walkabout lense), the EE-1 eye sight, and the Olympus 300 f4 plus 1.4 teleconverter. Those are within reach. With a lottery win, I would add the 45 f1.2, 8 f1.8 fisheye, 12 f1.8, and the 60 f3.5 macro. I am now expecting these in my stocking this Christmas.

I'd like a set of Paul Buff Einsteins- the three light kit.
And, a Sigma 300mm 2.8 telephoto.

I'd like to have the D850 with the 70-200 f2.8 (and if possible, the x2 teleconverter).
Regards,
Miquel

None.

I have the camera that is my favorite and unless they were to improve it (I can't see how) then I'm done buying cameras.

I have an Olympus Trip 35; the small, light, zone focusing, perfectly exposing, intuitive, awesome, 35mm camera!

I keep a Nikkormat as a backup (and a couple other trips) but that's it. I just have a fridge full of film.

That's the cool thing about film cameras...they are already outdated and there aren't any new models coming out...it's a box that lets light in...that's it.

Contentment. So rare these days. Do you have the early model with an ASA limit of 200?

I want the weather to pick up so I can get out with my camera. Snowing here yesterday, pouring rain today.

Have you ever tried to price a Trip 35? That will tell anyone just how awesome it is. It is still a sought after camera in the remaining film market.

I used to have Nikkor 60 F/2.8. It's working distance is very short and in many cases difficult to work with it because of that. Other macros that I tried were Nikkor 105 F/2.8 VR and Sigma 105 F/2.8 VC and kept the Sigma.

I think they are quite affordable— less than an FM2.....

I lust for the long anticipated Sony 200-600 E mount F4 lens.

"I spend most days Just looking on ebay for camera stuff. "

How much does that pay? Sorry, couldn't resist.

But if we're playing the "what if" game, I'll share mine. I'd spend my money on a good workshop. I've had my eye on the ones offered by Marc Muench. I hired Marc 20 years ago to shoot some expansive landscapes for a ski resort. Nice guy, not a huge ego, and quite a catalogue of work. https://muenchworkshops.com/ Of course, you could buy a whole lot of camera equipment for what one of these cost, but which is going to make you an artist?

Maybe a Canon 200-400 or 300 f/2.8. Now lets see if I start getting ads for these lenses...

Best,
Todd Ferguson
