I was able to go out and practice on birds yesterday, think I did pretty good. Nikon d5300, Tamron 150-600mm almost all at 600mm hand held. "M" mode, 1/400 shutter, F8, and ISO most at 200 to 400 because it was cloudy. I did have the AF-C continuous set. The eagle is still a little out of focus but the others I think I did pretty good on. All critiques and comments welcome.
Nice set. You might consider increasing your shutter speed and using auto iso when conditions warrant.

G1 or G2. Up the shutter speed to 1/2000, plus let the iso go auto depending on the camera. My D750 does well at 6400. Nice set. I have a G2 150-600 Nikon.

I am not sure ...I can't find anything that says G1 or G2 on the lens, I have a Nikon d4300...next time I will up the shutter and set the iso to auto ...thanks. And that pic is awesome by the way.

Thanks...I will do that next time.
Nice work! I am renting that lens next month when I go to Hilton Head Island. I am encouraged by the clarity of the hand held shots.
