I recently acquired a Nikon D850 and here are several recent images. First couple are from Point Reyes using a 16-35mm nikkor lens. The second couple shots are respectively from Laurel and Gardiner MT using a 200-500mm nikkor lens. All shots were handheld. I kept a very respectful distance from the Bighorn since he had a female nearby and he kept a very close watch on me. Thanks for looking.

I like the idea of hand holding the 200-500VR for wildlife.

I really like the bighorn shot. I just ordered a pistol-like grip for my 200-500 mm lens. I don’t have a very steady hand, so I’m hoping this will help.

The pistol grip should be a good stabilizer. I used the tripod mount on the lens to help stabilize the lens.
