New years day in Thailand. Let the waterfight begin ! ...pretty neat that for about a week, the entire country rubs white paste and throws water on each other. If you are outside, you are a target. And you have to be happy about it. No one is allowed to be upset if they get soaked.

Spent a year in Thailand from November '72 to November '73. We didn't have the fancy water guns they do now. Getting a 5 gallon pail of water thrown at you was an interesting experience. Fortunately our jungle fatigues dried quickly.

Songkran was OK until the drunken foreigners started with their water guns, buckets of water,
and baby powder.
Now they are throwing ice and paint.

Oh man ! How about your equipment ? I would stay away of put a poncho to cover my camera bag !

Have been in Thailand several times during Songkran, always had a Great time and Grandkids loved it!

Got hit with a squirt gun a few times but avoided the areas where buckets were evident. My 5D and 70-200 are weather sealed but a bucket over the head is not how I want them tested :-)
Side note:
Forgot my xfer cables on this trip so had to use mobile LR on my phone. Pics are low res. Canon camera connect will not allow you to xfer raw files. Grrrrr.
