Nikon 24-70 2.8 no VR (don't need vr) First shot, christian rapper Tedashii, very tough low light, color spotlights, etc., Second shot, quite a distance away but heavy crop. Third shot, on stage behind performers. The sharpness, contrast, saturation etc make this my favorite. It will rival or match many primes. Its focuses immediately and accurately. Yes, even this version without VR is around $1,800 new with the VR version $2,400. But, I don't need VR for event shooting. Obviously I'm biased and I bought mine used. It's very heavy but so what. I've shot an entire wedding with this lens. Nikon d750 used for all of these.
Nice shots, and really like the black and white.
The 24-70mm f2.8 lens made by camera manufacturers, as well as third party manufacturers, is a great lens cherished by wedding, sports, portrait, and street photographers. It seems to work for concerts too. VR is not really necessary for a 24-70mm lens, if you know how to handle it. I like the nice B&W photos.
