All your shots are excellent, Jim, but that wood duck is amazing! We have one wood duck couple at Peace Valley Park, and they are hardly ever out!

Morning Sue and thanks for looking in I always appreciate it.Glad you liked them.

I love these photos Jim, great job!
I just want to know how you get close enough to the Wood Ducks to get the wonderful shots you keep getting of them. I'm lucky if I can get within a 1000' of one and even then they always fly away fast as they can. I must look like a really scary monster to them. I've been trying to get a decent picture of one for years, ain't happened yet.

Thank you for the reply. The images are extremely sharp and the color is brilliant.
I am surprised to say the least.
Was the lens used at 600mm or something less?
I am assuming photoshop or the like was used to achieve your final pic but was
it used to enhance other details? This is NOT an attack against you or the photos
as they are great but just me wishing to learn from your experience.

Morning Terry and thanks for looking in.Glad you liked them. The ducks are so used to seeing people being around Terry it doesn't seem to bother them at all so they make it easy for us to photograph them and also I have a decent lens ,the Tamron 150mm-600mm ,it took me ages to save up for it

No Photoshop was used SImmSamm and thickens was used at 300mm at approximately 15 to 20 Feet.
