Really nice stuff, Linda. And since you're "from Maine," I expect you've seen some fog there, too. When I lived back East, I went to Maine specifically FOR the fog (and a few other things as well....)

Almost looks underwater. Very nice shot

Is that an eagle on top of the arch?? Like the way the overcast sky and dampness brings out the colors. Very Nice.

Get up early tomorrow and maybe I won't mist the fog.

April showers are said to bring May flowers. We've had several showers but not much fog. How about you. Feel free to do the "Archive Dive' if you're not getting any rain. Fog can be tricky. Add "http://WWW." for an article on capturing fog/mist. Last week - raindrops were falling on my head (remember that song- BJ Thomas?) This is going to be a wet one so get out your boots, umbrellas, raincoats and put a raincoat on your camera and bring on the raindrops.

2. and 3. Autumn ground fog dissipates quickly as the sun rises. Shot in raw so that I could manipulate the white balance to my whims (and whimsy)

p1 - Wow, Linda, each and everyone of these images are spectacular!

p1 - Really nice images, Kat! You know it's foggy when the birds "sit it out."

Superb areas both -- and you got 'em nicely, soggy or not. Hard to miss how the red/orange rock literally turns silver in a rain.

These are from my grandson's birthday pool party - it rained almost the entire time but everyone had a blast!

Beautiful shots, especially the middle one of the cattle in the mist.

It was a lite rain when I shot the first photo. The second one was fog. It was so foggy I couldn't see the Capitol, so I was looking and shooting other things. I turned around and almost "mist" the fog on the Capitol. You can see the dome has some fog around it. The last one is the Governor's mansion in Jefferson City, Mo.
