Hello all,
Just a thank you for all who post identifications for birds, animals, plants; and a request for those who do not to do so if the info is available to them. I am located in Philadelphia, PA and as such, I am unfamiliar with a lot of the photo subject identification seen. Really great and beautiful photos and I would really appreciate having more information on subjects.

Look in second hand book shops for 'Collins pocket guides to' Birds / insects etc
Alternatives may be authored by Michael Chinery, Herman Heinzel, Richard Fitter, John Parslow.
There are usually a lot of wildlife guides .....it is a popular 'if short lived' question from children - so most parents buy these books to keep them amused.

Either carry the pocket sized guides (Great for 'seeing' small things) or use as reference when you later PP your shots. Not only will they identify species, they often suggest habitat, altitude or land form (Rock type). Makes it a damn sight easier to find when you want to add to your collection.

Look at the book first and ensure that it gives a good illustration and information....some books are just 'pretty pictures' but very small...and very light on helpful info. Some are so highly informative that 'quick reference' they are not...Each to their own......

PS its addictive.....but healthy
