I attend critique nights at my camera club. One of the evaluators is an expert with portraits. He always tells us to use short lighting when photographing women - never broad lighting. The only thing that bugs me are the multiple catch lights in her eyes from the windows.
Thanks! I always try to use short lighting unless I want a certain effect. The ctch lights do not bother me. I thought they were kind of cool. What I think is weird is when there are no catch lights.
