Cold and a little windy today, but it was nice to do some work around the yard and also see some color!!

These were taken with my Canon 70D, Composer Pro w/ Twist 60 optic +8mm macro converter... texture layer added to the pond marigolds.

Beautiful, graceful details in the crocus, Angela. I love how that lens works and you have mastered it! You are a brave girl, getting in the yard with the cold arctic air blowing! April has been all over the weather map for us--sun on Easter, snow on Monday, thunderstorm and tornado on Wednesday, rain on Thursday...awoke to 2 inches of snow again this a.m. As Eeyore would say, "well, we haven't had an earthquake,so there's that..."

Carla, you are so sweet... thank you and glad you enjoyed!!
I went outside to bring in some soil to re-pot an indoor plant... one thing lead to another and I started cutting and pulling grass that grew over our slate stepping stones... worked up a sweat and now my arms are killing me!!! ...but it was good!! Then I noticed the flowers and after I cleaned up, I had to go out and shoot them before they're gone from this cold and wind....
I can't believe you got more snow... like I said, Mother Nature is not playing with a full deck this year!! Take care, stay warm and make a big pot of soup... that always helps!

The first one is so interesting. Is this a bud or a fully opened flower? I like the not so common color.

Thanks Jim.... I shot this late in the day and it was starting to close back up, because I was working in the yard when they were all opened, I missed those shots... maybe tomorrow.

Great set, Angel but you are light years ahead of me as I'm still trying to learn the basics!

Corky, what a treat to see color in my garden, I know spring is just around the corner!! Layering is so easy to use in Elements, you just have to watch a few videos and work along side with them!
Glad you enjoyed!

Angela, I am so glad that you are getting the colors you already have. This is an excellent set.
