Getting on in age and need to downsize from lightly-used Nikon D5100 gear. Please PM if you have Sony a6000 in good condition that you might want to sell or trade.
Have you considered calling B&H or Adorama and talking about a trade in. The Sony A6000 with the 16-55 and 55-210 is only $748 and say your gear is worth $300 it is not too much of a backbreaker. I really enjoy my 6000. I use some used legacy glass and now have too much. I am back to carrying a camera bag. Gotta stop that!
Good luck
Hope you find one. I love mine
Good choice! Love mine, too -- sorry, not ready to give it up yet. With the a6300 and a6500 on the market, there should be quite a few a6000s available from those who traded up. Good luck.

Thank you for the suggestion. I had not considered that option. Have to check it out.

Good to know. Never held, used, worked with a mirrorless camera. Just know I need to down size and down weight...and the a6000 gets a lot of UHH support.
? Where do you send a Sony for repair

It's a great camera -- especially for travel. If you have the budget, get the Zeiss 16-70 -- an excellent walk-around lens that lives on my a6000. The 55-210 lens is also handy, inexpensive, lightweight, and compact, with decent image quality. You'll read complaints about Sony's extensive menu system, but once you have figured out which settings you are most likely to change while shooting, you can assign them to the customizable buttons or the quick function menu on the back. With some practice, it makes shooting quick and easy. I also recommend getting one of two excellent books on the a6000 -- by Busch or by Friedman. If you shoot RAW, which I also strongly recommend, you can get any of a variety of post-processing programs. I started with Capture One Express for Sony (free) and then moved up to the pro version of Capture One for Sony (about $70). There is a learning curve, as with any sophisticated PP software, but both are excellent editing programs. Happy shooting!

There are Sony-authorized repair shops available, but in 8 years of using Sony MILCs, I've never needed a repair. If you take good care of it, the a6000 will treat you well.
Are you still looking for one? It’s a great little camera. I have the 6300 now and was thinking of converting the 6000 to IR. Let me know if you are still in the market. Private message is okay.

There are a bunch of very nice looking Sony A6000 camera/lens combos on Craigslist in the Phoenix area for between $400 and $500. Check your local Craig’s.

Thanks for your suggestion, David. Will do, but trust UHH purchases more than Craigslist for photo gear even if price is a bit more.

Dick,
I just surveyed eBay and see that I was pricing my Sony a3000 incorrectly.
If you like you can have mine for $425 including both lenses, filters, all front, rear, and body caps. Plus I will pay shipping.
I will send photos today.
If anything is not as I represent it i’ll take it back. I like to sell and buy on UHH for the same reason as you do, but I’d like it priced a bit less rather than more.
The camera does me no good sitting in my closet.
Ken
Dick,
Here are some photos of the Sony a3000 etc. Note the camera and WiFi manuals. In case it’s not clear, all hoods, caps and filters are included and good. I think I might have a 49 mm polarizer I could include if that helps.

Thank you, Ken, for your message. Look forward to seeing the pictures, knowing everything that you are selling and understanding how old and how much use the items have had.
