A good question. It's a grocery store chain that's big in Texas. I remember an intersection that had two chain grocery stores on it. Then HEB built a third store. By the end of the year, just one was left standing. They're very competitive.

Howard Edward Butt-founder of H.E.B. My first job at 14 years of age was bagging groceries at H.E.B. for 50¢/hour in Corpus Christi, Texas. Based in San Antonio, they now have 340 locations and employ 100,000 people. Great place to shop whenever I'm in Texas!

A week ago, Jinx & I were in N Carolina. There is a large grocery store chain call, Piggly Wiggly.
I read in the paper, Piggly Wiggly is looking at buying out HEB.
If Piggly Wiggly did buy HEB out, They are going to call the new grocery store, Wiggly Butts......
Honest!!
Pat

Well, I think that is what I read.

Well I see they have made ample provision for those hangers on to unload their used groceries. Is it a requirement that that all deposits be made from HEB sold merchandise? Good one Voss.

Actually, they were too late. Dolly Parton bought Big Bear, Piggly Wiggly, and Harris Teeter. It will be called Big Wiggly Teeters.

Thanks, dragonfist. Can't help you there. I'm afraid I'm not privy to their requirements.

It adds much peace of mind when you're walking in a downtown area.
