I tried to take some pictures of my son for his senior picture. I was not particularly imaginative. Outdoor shots weren't really an option due to our cold nasty weather. He cooperated well even though I was out of practice and a little slow. I'm not sure if I like the color or the black and white better.

Adjust the facial color in the backlit portrait to more closely match that of the first one and you'll have a winner (son wearing suit).
Very nice formal portraits.
Nice photos. I like the first color one best. It looks like he's looking to the future and sees it being pleasant.
I am not a portrait photographer, sterrill, but I think your son pulls off his look in a suit quite well. Looks very business like. One of the portrait photographers on UHH site, CaptainC does athlete portraits masterfully. Not that you should copy his style but maybe look at a few of the athletes in their jerseys to get ideas how to be creative and make that jersey look smart?
Thanks for looking. I'll have to look at the work you suggested. The foot ball jersey doesn't fit well without pads.

Exactly. The jerseys are made to fit over all of that stuff, not just for protection but so the guys look bigger and tougher and meaner? Nothing mean looking about your son!!
I like all the color shots! Well done!
