Does anyone have any experience with this software or its predecessor Genuine Fractels. I am researching if this software is necessary for enlargements made from digital cameras. Thanks
I gave their trial a go and found that it did not own up to their advertizing. They have a free trial see if it will do what you want.
thank you for your response
thanks for your response. Cannot seem to find any good advisors in the area. the internet is loaded with must haves
I have used it for a while, no complaints other than it will not do a batch re-size.
Hi bulldoggermike,
Part of my work is editing a fly-fishing magazine and often we get a picture for an important article only to find the pic is too small resolution for print media. We use Perfect Resize 7 a lot for this function and it seems to do better than the resize feature in Photoshop CS5. We like it but only use it to resize smaller pix, never for a full page or for a cover. Take care & ...
i have used this product for years and years. i have used it when it was genuine fractals 1.0 and i think a company called leaping lizards or something like that owned it.
it is great and does exactly what it says it will do.
i use this product at least 5 days a week.
if you have a crappy small image....it will be blown up crappy.
but if you have a decent photo you want blown up...it works great.
i also use it at work as i do the graphics for out 10' wide banner printer. i have made 4x6 photos up to 8' tall and sharp as it was at the small size.
but if you have intentions of pulling tiny 37k optimized photos off the web and plan on blowing them up to 8x10 or larger, you will be disappointed.
like the old saying...garbage in...garbage out.
this is one of the most spectacular pieces of software that i have ever used.
if you get it and need some help or pointers..you can PM me. i would be glad to help.

I agree. I love it, but don't try to take a small image from the internet and expect to blow it up sharp.
The whole OnOne suite is really impressive.

agree...the onone suite is awesome and it's a great bargain. they always seem to run a sale for $199. all the programs in the suite are great...and there's a zillion free videos on their site plus they always have great webinars.

I also have used it -- it's easy and satisfactory and has more than just resizing tools which I've yet to explore fully.
If the source image is too small relative to the final size, you might get somewhat strange effects if you look very closely but the image will not be pixelated.

I just did. As a result of your question, I fired up onOne Photo Suite and did a resize of an image I took some time ago. I am impressed with the resize app in their suite.
Here is an image from my Nikon D700. I imported this to PS as a 12"x18" @300dpi image. Exported as a jpg without resizing.
I opened the jpg in Perfect Photo Suite (onOne Software) using the resize app, I enlarged the image to 24"x36" @300dpi.
The comparison photo is approximately the same area of both the original and the "enlarged" version. However, resized to 72dpi.

I have it, use it and give it
Never thought about using it to batch resize. I'll look at it in PS and create an action....should work, should be able to put a stop to resize during the action execution. I'll let you know.
