True - but not much time to think about composition. I'll tell you what - this gem has been flying over all week so if I get an opportunity I'll try again just to get the prop blur. ;-).

I've made the same mistake thousands of times (probably on the same day!). Next Year's Oshkosh is going to feature the 100th(?) anniversary of the RAF and there will be many chances to shoot them if I can make it - I was there last year. Coming up in October near me is a show at the Spirit of St. Louis airport.
