I like it, has a great "mood" with those muted colors. A little more negative space around the trees would be nice, but it's also great that nothing is centered and the trees on the right are not cut off.
So next foggy morning, step back up that driveway or use a wider angle lens.

Looks more like a tree to me. ? ;)

I can almost hear the silence. I like the bird on the fence.

A good depiction of exactly that. It’s not always easy to decide the best way to process this type of shot (for me at any rate). You’ve chosen well. The tree is super-crisp and the contrast is just right. From the picture I can imagine exactly how it felt to stand there. Very nicely done. I encourage everyone to view the download.

I like the potential of this image. The two parts that I like very much like are the spreading branches on the left contrasted with the upright branches on the right, and, of course, the bird.

The bottom part of the image, to my eye, doesn't add to the photo. I don't feel that the path and grass depict a leading line because they are not long enough, and, if they were, then the bird would be too small. If the image were mine, I'd cut the bottom of the photo, leaving just a little to show the bottom of the tree. Then, I think the eye would focus better on the tree and the bird and the other compositional elements.

The trees look good, but to my eye the fence and tennis court aren't photogenic.

Hi, Don,
The mood is explicit, and all the requisite emotional notes commensurate with that mood are accurately hit...but the fence, enclosed paved area, and background building are distractions that pull me back from full participation in the intended effect of the image.

As shot, I would have to agree with the others, that the fence is not helping your composition much here. Sure it is a resting place for that bird; but I'm wondering what the effect would have been if you moved to your right and the fence, then, became the leading line. With caution, the bird might have even stayed put. I do like the feel of the photo. Hard to resist a foggy morning.

Thanks. Perhaps when the leaves are out and taken from a different angle most of the fence will be hidden.
