Right place at the right time. Took these in quick succession this week at one of the nests I monitor for Audubon. Decent downloads.
The very next day I got another sequence at another nest with grey skies.

D500,150-600 G2 SOOC with crop.

Note the darker necklace on the female.

Thank you! I seem to rarely get clear skies like that in the morning.

Audubon is constantly looking for volunteers to monitor Osprey activity. Ct and RI have many nests that need observers. It takes very little of your time, so check with your state Audubon for their programs.

Nice shots Dave. Ospreys are among my favorite birds of prey. Well done!

Thank you for commenting! Osprey are relatively easy to shoot, but to catch them mating is quite lucky!

Reporting activity to Audubon has been a lot of fun. We nearly drove the bird to extinction with our chemicals, but they are now doing quite well.

Thank you much! Wouldn't mind checking them out in your area with all the waters you have!

Dave, the male that we often see shows up around the end of February or the first few days of March and then a few days later the female joins him and there are a number of Ospreys and Eagles on the lakes and rivers in our area!

Yes, it's about that time! The males start arriving here around the third week in March and typically the females will follow a week or so later. Then the construction begins!

LOL, you're a real whack job if you need to go back a year to troll me. Get a life and try to use the Hogg for something other than a place to run your business and act like an old fool. You certainly don't seem to be trustworthy enough to buy anything from...do you sell used auto parts as well? LOL!
