To any and everybody: I am shooting a small golf tournament this weekend (28 players) and want to print pictures on the spot. The tournament is roughly 5hrs. I plan to shoot the first two hours and then want to print pictures there. What printer would you suggest and if I need a laptop what is the cheapest that I can getaway with. Thanks in advance, if I missed something, please fill in the blanks. No real pressure on this job, but I plan to do more. With that in mind advise me on long term purchase as well. I prefer to do it one time and correctly.
A good Canon Printer should be OK. Or Epson. You said the cheapest way? I gave up on my printer, and later using Third Party Refilled Ink Cartridges that were not good. I went back to brand new ink cartridges. But the prices kept rising. If you want to have error free printing, I suggest you invest in original Brand ink cartridges. They cost more. Good luck at the Golf Course.
The Masters. Tiger will make a showing but I don't think he will win. Rory and Bubba are already winners this year.

Is there anything like a FedX-Kinkos or print shop that could do a quick turnaround for you?
Today is Thursday, you want to shoot and print a tourney on the weekend and you are just asking what you need?
What you need is to not commit yourself to things that are over your head.
Sorry, no offense meant.

That the Pro way of doing thing.
What size prints do you need? When I take pictures of Santa with dogs and cats or with the Easter bunny with the dogs and cats at the animal shelter they use Canon Selphy photo printers. The pictures are really good for a small printer. The prints are 4x6. They have 3 of the printers, 2 hooked up ready to print and one for backup.
Just a thought.

It depends on the size of the photos you want to print. If you want 4x6 photos you can use a Canon Selphy that is a dye-sublimation printer. An added advantage is that you can print directly from the SD card as long as it's in JPEG, thus eliminating the need for a pc. It also works on wifi so you can print with your only wiring is to plug it into an outlet if you decide to load them into your pc first or if you have a camera with wifi.
He never mentioned the Golf Course he is planning to visit for taking photos?
It not over my head. The sponsor only wants group shots for webpage, but i can pick up extra money if I print on shots onsite. I want to know what the others would suggest in terms of print size etc....Offense taken old sour prick with no help just negative a** opinions
Does "a small golf tournament this weekend (28 players)" sound like the Masters?
Thanks that’s what I have and just trying to get a heads up.
Every pro was once an amateur and experts rise from humble beginnings. If that is your contribution, so be it.
Lol, yeah a guy who is shooting Augusta is here asking for advice. I am gonna keep using this forum, but cautiously.
