My red miniature rose plant, knowing that we lack color outside, bloomed for me!!
Fully opened is about 1 1/2" across, so this bud was not even 1/2"
Taken with my Canon 70D, Lensbaby Composer Pro w/ Sweet 50 +16mm macro converter.

Thanks so much, Donna, for your always lovely comments... glad you enjoyed!! I couldn't believe I got a bud on this plant, I had so much trouble with it having mites chew up the leaves... I cut it down to the bottom at least three times and now it is finally healthy!
Rain for the past two days.... snow maybe Friday and Saturday and then rain for three days next week!!! Now I'm getting ticked!!

What you're doing must be working, because your plant looks very healthy. Storms here last night, and I saw that the huge system extended to and even past your area. It's a beautiful day but chilly...so hopefully you'll get some sunny skies soon.

Roses are very hardy and if you cut them all the way down, they usually come back even fuller!!
Lucky you for having a beautiful day. It looks like tomorrow will be a sunny day, before we get more rain... but I'll be inside watching the boys tomorrow.
