Taken yesterday, taking advantage of an 8:00 am start time. I really like that time of the morning for the cool soft lighting. Shadows at a minimum.
D500
80-400 4.5-5.6
auto white balance
iso around 500

Enjoy all of your posts. All of these photos are great. What flash was used for the team shot? Must be nice to be out shooting. We received 6 inches of snow on Friday and our high temp was less than 10 degrees on Saturday.

Hey friend. Great shots as usual, you always do well. I wish our weather would get better. We had sleet yesterday and it covered the ground pretty good. Been rainy and overcast a while. Today and tomorrow looks wet, Friday a chance, will have to see what happens. Keep up the good work SHOOT TIGHT! Thanks

Tom

Tom thanks for looking. Funny thing is I have a shot somewhere where the ball is actually hitting a girls hand.

Thanks for your nice words. The flash is a Nikon SB-700.
Hopefully the weather will break for you.
I must say it was nice to shoot at 8 am about 65 degrees at game time.

It was 20 Deg. at 8:00 with an inch of sleet on the ground this morning. We are watching granddaughters today and when they both came in this morning they both said BRRRRR! ganpa. They are 2 and 3 years old this last month. In a month or two I will probably grip about how warm it is a 8:00. Thanks

Enjoy the grandkids they grow up so very fast. I will be in the same boat here in Las Vegas another month or so I will be hating 105 guarantee. When I was younger I liked it but at 72 not so much.

I turn 67 in July and the older I get the more I hate the extremes. Real cold or real hot don't like. I guess when you age your body does that to you. Oh well.

Post the soccer shots. If you have never done soccer it is a blast. really need long lens or patience to wait for the action to come to you, or if you are young enough and in shape follow the action. Some people don't realize it but soccer can be a very fast sport to follow. If you shoot tight in camera it is not the easiest thing to do. But like all things practice, practice, practice and it will come.

Yep I really appreciate the nice cool lighting, what a difference than shooting at 1 in the afternoon when it comes to shadows.

Hi Jules,

Wow, these are awesome photos, love them thanks for sharing.

Here in West Central Florida We are getting an hour or so of day light with baseball starting at 7pm our time, and sunset around 7:50pm.

Be Well, Be Blessed.

Hi Tom:
Thanks for looking and hoping your feeling okay.
Very windy here in Vegas today so I won't be shooting any baseball.
Next week though full plate.

Be Well,
Jules
