Hi to everyone, I am a new member and would love to be able to introduce myself. My name is Luis Urquia. I live in Cutler Bay, Florida. To start off, I love taking pictures of nature. I've been in love with photography since I was a child. I started with an Olympus OM2 full frame film camera. That is how I learned about aperture, ISO and F stops. I purchased a Canon 60D about seven years ago and was intimidated by it. The transition to digital was not easy. My experiences finally are starting to show in the quality of my pics with digital. I love post processing, I use Light room and Luminar and I am thinking on also getting Photoshop. I am constantly reading and learning about the subject. The information is mind boggling, but I love it all! Finally I am researching on full frame DSLRs. I would love to stick with Canon, but the newer mirrorless from Sony and even some of the others of full frames are starting to get my attention. Since all of my lenses I own so far are for APS-C sensors I would not mind going with another brand, as long as it all makes sense when buying into it. I shoot mostly Landscapes and now I am getting my feet wet on Nightscapes. Seems to me like my best stuff is coming from lower light, night, and long exposure photography. I now own some of the Lee Filters (NDs, NDG, Polarizer). I would love buy something that I will be keeping for a while. I here a lot of folks talking about changing camera bodies about every four years while keeping their good glass with them. I don't know if changing bodies that frequent will be for me. My budget and what I am trying to acquire in the future will dictate that for me. For now I simply love posting my work and the recognition I get from them. I am thinking of the Canon 6D Mark II or the Canon 5D Mark IV. I understand the 5D Mark IV comes with a hefty tag price. I am concerned with the talk of the better HDR capable sensor cameras out there. I would love to avoid buying extra bells and whistles I do not need. I have heard the 6D II does not have a good sensor with great HDR capabilities, but the articulating LCD screen for the older guys is a plus. On the other hand some of the mirrorless still do not have a great selection on glass. I am, regardless still leaning towards the 6D ii. The selection process is a mind blower. Hope I can hear from some of the members soon. Thank you and glad to be in the group. Sincerely Lou!
