If anyone likes blues and rock, these ladies turn Rosetta Tharpes "Didn't it rain" into an all out boogie and totally own Johnny Winters "Mean town blues" in a balls to the wall rendition,an overall flawless performance.

I found her to be mediocre at best. I've heard better local blues bands. IMHO.
As a blues singer she make a fine sales girl.

Yea, I have never really cared for any vocals myself, with a few rare exceptions, and Dana isn't one of the exceptions. I have always been more into the actual music parts personally preferring instrumentals or at least songs with long instrumental jams (as long as they are kept interesting). Also a lot of blues lyrics are not exactly profound or meaningful, so they lose their appeal that way too.
There is a recording of Muddy's that whenever he proclaims "I'm a man!", someone in the band always says, very low key, "You ain't no man!". Of course Muddy digs his heels in and says it again ... LOUDER.
any relation to John Lee Hooker?

Distant cousins of the mighty George Thorogood I would guess.

No, that's just the name of the band, probably because he is one of their influences.
