I have been stunned as time has passed how comments and critiques have become less and less over time. I see 500+ reviews and 1 or to comments. Have the members at UHH become complacent over time? My understanding of member sharing photos was to expect feed back both negative and positive.
Allowing the photographer to learn from other members. This was one of the best forums I have been apart of and find it disappointing & disheartening at the limited feedback . I hope that spark of creativity and discussion regarding members photos returns to UHH
Respectfully Keeper

I think that people spend less time on the computer, in the summer.

I must admit...I'm guilty of peeking and not posting. I have various reasons....I don't do portrait, auto or macro photography...so I feel my critique unqualified. I do comment on landscape...at times....but if I read a review that puts my observation either to shame or on point, I'll quietly move on.
I hear your frustration...as I have posts with 200-300 views, if not more...and 12-40 comments and it leaves me wondering too.
I'll add my 2 cents in more often. Thanks for the heads up.

I have to agree with Ace.
Most people are out and about doing things and the last thing they want is to be tied to the computer.

I think thats awesome. Some people just appreciate any acknowledgement. I admit I am at fault also. But, If its a photo I appreciate I make every effort to comment how much I appreciate their work.

I'll do the same...btw your concert photos were great...but I wish I was at the concert and not just viewing the photos. Looked awesome.

Sometimes I don't comment because I don't have a good comment.

Sometimes it's because the shot is so horrible I don't know where to start.

Sometimes it's because a few people have already said what I was going to say.

I know what you're saying and it is a shame. What really gets me is how many pages and responses there are when the subject has some sort of drama involved. I came to this forum because it seemed like it was a place where people were really interested in photography and not to infested with people wanting just to start s@#t. Hopefully those who are respectful, sincere, and knowledgeable will not feed into those discussions which are nothing but BS and then maybe the drama queens will go away. But, no place is perfect and there'll always be those who upset things just to upset things, but, yeah, it seems there are a lot of them right now and I hope things will change soon.

I just took a peek at the comment count and the peekers count. Peekers have it 131 to 10 They must be too embarrassed to say anything, because they know they are GUILTY

I don't dont want to speak less of anyone here. I appreciate all. Just wnat those who feel less than competent regarding their skills not to be afraid to comment. This is how you learn and make friends. I joined to learn and perfer constructive critisism so I can practice suggestions and improve. I appreciate those who created UHH for that reason.
