I remember seeing this on my first trip to Ireland 20 years ago. If I remember correctly you come upon it very quickly as you round the curve in the road which makes it even more striking. The Dingle Peninsula is beautiful. Some say even better than the famed Ring of Kerry.

Dannj - your memory is very accurate. There is a small pull-in spot in front of the statues which marks perhaps the most spectacular view of the Dingle Peninsula across to the Blasket Islands. Most folks agree that Dingle is the more beautiful than the Ring of Kerry, but the Ring of Kerry is better known because the large tour buses can get around the Ring. They are unable to negotiate the tight roads on Dingle - although some try.
