I have just returned from my trip to Iceland. Drove around the perimeter of the island in five days! There are limitless photo ops in this country. Almost overwhelming. It does not get dark there during the summer months so you are only limited by how long you can stay awake. The "good light" exists between about 11:30 at night and 3am so you have to adjust your sleeping a bit. If you are not a point and shooter, it can be a bit exhausting. By the end of the week I was ready to put the camera away for awhile. I took more than a thousand photos. Here are a few I picked out
Seljanlandsfoss
Dyrholaey
Icelandic Poney
Black sand beach in Vik
Near the south coast
Church near Hofsos
MsJ
Loc: Northern Indiana
Beautiful photos!!! Beautiful country! :). I think my favorite is the horse...and I'm not a real horse lover! Nice job!
Thanks for sharing love this series of photographs

Looks like a beautiful country; I'm sure you have many good photos to choose from. These pictures are very well done. I especially like the landscapes, but the pony shot is great too. Looking forward to seeing some more of a part of the world not many seem to go to.

Thanks for having a look at the pictures. There are quite a few tourists there during the summer months but not many are American. The Icelandic people are able to speak English for the most part but most of the people you encounter are other tourist...lots of German. If you enjoy the outdoors, photography or hiking it is a great place to visit. We had to save for quite awhile to go. Everything there cost about twice as much as it does in the states. However, it cost less than a week in Hawaii. The flight is less than six hours from JFK too!

I like all the things you spoke about. Will definitely have to look into Iceland for a future backpacking trip. Thanks for the info.
Great to see some photos of a country not as often photographed here in UHH. I liked the black sand beach, the pony, beautiful and the reflecting scene best.
