Hi All

As I'm new to the forum I thought I'd add some photo's for the first time.

I use a Nikon compact camera & haven't done anything with these photo's expect for crop them. I'd appreciate any advice you have about my photos as I've decided to learn more about photography so this is all new to me. I am doing an online course which is helping me.

Nice photos - Did you shoot any of the waterfowl from a lower perspective?

No, getting down on their level. Personally, I have a bad habit of walking up to short things and shooting down at them if they're on the ground. You see parents do this with the snapshots of their children all the time. Tame waterfowl would also be in that category.

Because you can get closer, sometimes you get right up on them and then shoot down. Sometimes that works well, but sometimes the better shot is from a ground perspective.

Ah never thought of doing that. I might have to try it. Thanks..

The robin was close to me & stayed there while I took photos of it. I know the one I've added with the 6 isn't the best but these were closer. Every time I go out walking I can guarantee I see a robin on my travels

Welcome to the forum. All of your photos do not look to be in focus. If you have one try using a tripod or watch some YouTube videos on how to achieve sharp focus without a tripod.
If you want detailed and constructive criticism of your photos, post them in the Photo Critique section. Good luck and keep posting.
