I've been lurking on here for a while - the topics are interesting it looks like there are a number on interesting folks!
I'm a retired research chemist (specialized in spectroscopy) and have been interested in photography since my parents gave me a Kodak camera in 1957. Over the years, I've learned how to process B&W and E-6 film - and even managed to make some decent prints!
Currently, I shoot a Nikon D7100, having just sold off all my 35 mm film cameras. However, I'm not totally corrupted, I still shoot a Mamiya 645 pro tl - mostly with Velvia - and occasionally, an RB67.
My current interests are railroads and birds, I'm looking to add to the lens stable with a 300 of 400 mm lens.
I'm located in the USA - Delaware - and look forward to some trips to the beach later this year.

Jim welcome to the forum.I enjoy Eagles and Sand Hill Cranes to photograph. Switched to digital 11 years ago but still shoot with my old Leica.
Thanks - looking forward to learning a lot!
Welcome! Looking forward to your posts and pictures. Happy shooting!
Welcome to the forum. For photographing birds I would suggest 400mm and above. Post and have fun.
