Here's a few shots taken at the 5th Annual SC Comicon held in Greenville SC March 24-25. Visit my Flickr page for more.
Very nice. The colorful clothes are excetional and it is nice to see folks with a big smile on their faces. I'm not sure what the Comicon is but it sure looks like folks are enjoying themselves.

Enjoyed the pictures, looked like they were having fun. Age must be showing as I didn’t recognize any of the characters. Then again I haven’t read a comic book in a long time.😁

I am a Dr. Who and Star Trek Original Series, also Mighty Mouse operettas era, fan from old (subjective time). However at these conventions, a lot of the characters are from the last ten years and Japanese Anime (I'm also Captain Harlock fan).
BTB, I'm just a young 69.
You might want to google the -cons. You will be amazed at the degree of costuming involved.
Thanks dragonfist and EdR for the comments, and to Stephan G for answering dragonfist's question regarding what is a Comicon. Sounds like we're all about the same vintage. Last year I accompanied my grandson to our first Comicon. I thought it would be a good place to shoot, and I wasn't disappointed. The cosplayers (costume players) love to pose for pictures. It might be called a "target-rich environment" for photographers. A smile and a pleasant approach to the person is usually all you need.
Fun shots. I think the backgrounds add little or even distract. Cropping would make the subjects more prominent, as they should be.
