I will give a little boost to your post - I hope you don't mind....? I have this lens and love it! I inherited mine from my Dad's old collection and put it on my D5500 (it only works manually on a DX body) and it works brilliantly - one of the best deals out there!
I'm interested! Is it still available?

It will autofocus on any Nikon body with a drive pin on the lens mount, DX or FX. D200, D300, D80, D90, D7000 series, and D2, 3, 4, and 5, and the new D500. It will not autofocus on the D40, 60, D3000 series or the D5000 series.
I also have this lens and it is a very good lens, and light weight. I use it on my DX cameras and my DF (full frame). It was designed for use on the Nikon autofocus 35mm film cameras, so you will get a slight increase of telephoto effect when used on a DX digital body. On full frame digital it gives the true focal length marked on the lens barrel.
Would like to purchase if still available.
