Seems that Gold Finches need what is in Nyjar seed to help them grow new feathers each Spring and Fall.
Muted as they are that will soon turn bright yellow. Problem is there is not enough spaces on the bird
feeder to accommodate the numbers of birds that want there turn at a feeding hole.

What a crew. Nice capture. Here in California my Gold Finches have already put on their bright yellow colors. Please post some more pics when they brighten up.
