Cycle of life

I thought I would try a bastardized version of time lapse over a period of three weeks. This is the life cycle of a flower on my ancient Christmas cactus. "Gramma" is 51 years old. I think it is a miracle she has any flowers at all. Got her as a cutting from my then Mother-in Law's plant in 1967. Since then, she has been carried from Pennsylvania to New Mexico to California and back to New Mexico. She is a little confused as to when she should bloom, but then she is still blooming. Constructive comments welcomed.

That "old" makes me feel self conscious.

Nice series. Well done.

Lovely. I have a Christmas cactus that came from my grandmother's plant.

Beautiful, and we have one which appears to be exactly like yours and is also very old and it bloomed about a month ago,

I too have a similar decades old Christmas cactus inherited from my mother. When in full bloom, with the multitude of blossoms on these large old plants, they are simply gorgeous. Nice photos.

Very creative work! Thanks for posting. Our Christmas cactus is only 30+ years old and, like yours, has traveled quite a bit.
