Beautiful! Quebec City is on our list of places to visit. My wife said she would like to go in December. However as natives of the SF Bay Area, we don't do well when it gets cold. I'm thinking between late Spring and early Fall. BTW, we got about 2 inches of snow at our house once in the last 40 years; it was almost 80 degrees F today.

Personally I'd go with the fall. Up until say Oct.15. 2'' inches eh? WOW. However if you decide, contact me and I would be able to show you around. BTW In mid-May I'm hosting a Challenge here ''Promoting Your Place'' where I show places nearby Q-City that tourist people do not tell you. ....Jim

Thanks for the offer! It won't be this year, probably in 2019 or 2020. I'm considering trying to make it in Spring at the same time as the Canadian F1 race. We are going to do a fall colors trip to the northeast U.S., but due to time constraints (I teach part time at a local university), would probably have to do it n a separate trip.

Check out ''Kancagamagus Hwy'' in NH awesome ride and colours there. The trick is to stay away for th Interstates LOL

It looks beautiful there; we're anxious to visit. I prefer to stay away from Interstates anyway. Our basic route for our Fall colors trip is to fly to Boston and take 2 or 3 days to get to Acadia NP, spend a couple of days there and then drive U.S. 1 to the Canadian border. Then head west to Stowe, then take the Kancamagus Hwy back to Boston via Conway. We should have 10 days total for driving/exploring. That doesn't seem too ambitious to me based on previous road trips we've done. One of our trips was just over 4,000 miles in 11 days. We went from the SF Bay Area to Mt. Rushmore via Cedar City UT, Vail CO and Colorado Springs. Then Yellowstone, the Tetons and home.

We have a small camper and our longest trip was 47 nights, no réservations, no plan and we wound up spending a few nights in Sausalito in the parking lot at the marina....eventually Big Bend, southern Arizona and finally South Louisiana before heading home through the Ozarks and on up.

Maine is neat! Be down there next month before the tourists arrive. Really nice trip you did there. Loved Gila Park(?) Gila NM. Met up with Hot Lips from M.A.S.H.
