Vet,

Looking back at your topic posts over the past year, I think you’d agree there have been a lot of people pulling for you. I’m not sure what has happened in this instance, but i won’t let it rile you.

And what's wrong with that. I'm a vet, and I take offense at your comment. I spend 20 years in the Air Force so A**Holes like you can say and do what you want. You should thank people like Vietnam Vet and myself and then go on with your pathetic little life.

We could all use a hero or two. Perhaps you could list a few of the things you did while in the military that make us all safer and freer. Not disrespecting your service, just doubting your statement.

You won't let it rile him? How does that work?

Part of the problem is how people advertise and wear their badge of honor. Some behave well, some behave very badly. My 93 year old uncle-in-law, a purple heart Iwo Jima vet, doesn't expect any special consideration, but he's clearly proud of his service.

We met a badly behaved Korean vet at a public event. He and his family were drunk, making a lot of noise, and stood in front of the audience blocking the view. Several polite requests were made to them to be quiet, sit down, or move aside. The response was "I'm a Korean war vet , I can do what I want." My father, god bless him, in his eighties, strolled down to him and said "And I'm a World War Two vet, so sit down and shut up or get the hell out of here before I make you." Fortunately they left. My father couldn't have handled them on his own, but the rest of us would have piled on.

Vet's do not have special entitlement to behave badly. They deserve respect when they behave according to social norms, otherwise they devalue the sacrifices made by other vets.

Cant stay on target...adios

And remember that Trump was a draft dodger.

Please think about how you present yourself, and don't dishonor other vets or the f**g.

Adios!

LoL

Good luck in the Attic my friend!

If you take offense that easily, you will soon have 70-90% of the Attic Ogres (that's us that frequent this odd place) on ignore!

Be tough and hang in there...

This picture of president Obama was done by the same guy who photographed a black man holding the decapitated heads of two white men.

If you're talking about the artist that painted Obama's portrait, he's known for his reworking of famous art works. Salome with the head of John the Baptist has been painted many times, it's fair game for anyone to paint. It started out as a political painting, it still is, it's always been confronting. Or did you mean an actual photo of a black man with two severed heads of white men? Do you have a link?

I didn't post this in the attic, it was moved here. Folks treated a post in the photography forum as though it was in the attic. I will delete everyone who likes being deleted. Don't really care.
