The latest false story they jumped on is this stupid claim that "Obama called to congratulate Putin's e*******l win in 2012".

There is not a single true thing in the entire statement. Well, ok, there is one thing that is true: Putin won a so-called "e******n" in 2012. But Obama did not congratulate Putin. Nor did Obama call Putin.

Obama responded to Putin's victory in 2012 by giving a belated and terse public statement that "the United States looks forward to working with the president-elect." He did not mention Putin by name, and there was no congratulations, and Obama waited 5 days after the so-called "e******n" to say it. Obama did not call Putin. He put out a simple public statement. No one misunderstood the unmistakably cool and unenthusiastic impression Obama was clearly signaling.
