Snow again on Long Island... this is the fourth nor'easter that has hit in this crazy month of March!!
The birds are as annoyed as we are and yesterday, I saw my first batch of robins on the lawn... now no lawn for them to look for food!!

These were taken from inside my sun-room with my SX50 through the very dirty windows!!

Great photos Angela. At first I thought your sensor was filthy dirty but then I realized (I did grow up in NYS and spent summers in Babylon) it was falling snow instead. Nice cooperative subjects. Probably too cold to move.

This is a beautiful set, Angela. You work magic with your SX50.

Very nice collection and you did not have to brave the weather.

Great shots. Are they right out of the camera as well?

LOL.... nope, these flakes are the size of cotton balls, not a dirty sensor.... the birds are all flocking the feeders, they wait their turn which allows me to shoot!!
Thanks for your visit and comment, Dennis!

Glad you enjoyed these, John! I love that little camera and I grab it any time I want to shoot a bird out my back windows and anywhere where I don't have to think of what lens to use!! I have a feeling you're seeing white as well... take care and be safe!! I just made a big pot of lentil soup!

I appreciate your visit and comment, toxdoc... and yes, they are straight from the camera with just a little crop and some shading!

Angela, I absolutely love your bird photographs. I had to view your captures 3 or 4 times, and they were better each time. Sometimes falling snow is a distraction, but they really add to the dynamics. I'm more of a "self thought black smith photographer", but I know what I like. Great job!!!

A very nice set Angela. I am always impressed with the results you are able to achieve shooting through window glass. I have been watching my backyard birds making "between rain shower" runs at the feeder this morning.....they have no idea how lucky they are. This has been a crazy March!

Hi Gary and thank you for your always lovely comments and glad you enjoyed my little tweeters... I am also a self taught photographer and probably one of the only ones on here that still shoots in JPEG... but as long as I capture the moment it makes me happy and it makes me happier when others like them as well!! I have a feeding box for the squirrels... he's sitting in it in the first shot... I now have a big crow parked inside for the longest time, he's probably the only smart one out there!! lol..
Enjoy the day and your spring time flowers!!

Many thanks, Phil and glad you enjoyed these! As far as my dirty windows go, I just aim and zoom on the bird and it seems to bypass the dirt... at least that's what I'm telling my self, since I don't do windows!! lol!!
I think your birds and mine have a good thing going... at least they know where to go to eat, regardless of this crazy weather!!

Fine series of images Angela. My favorite is the male cardinal with those snow flakes falling all around him.

Excellent set Angela, it’s amazing how resilient the little birds are.
