Chicken Show Parade

My son-in-law refurbishes golf carts and I might add does a fantastic job. Yesterday in our Chicken Days parade friends and kids had a great time even if it was 100 in the shade! It is sooo hot and dry here. We decided for the chicken day dance this year we would do a rain dance instead!

Sounds like it was a fun day. One of the towns near me does Rooster Days every year. Only they do it in late April, early May and usually get it in before the heat sets in. The rain dance sounds like a good idea. Maybe we need to start a flash mob and where ever you are at a certain time you break out in a rain dance. That should make it rain right?

We are willing to try most anything at this point! Yes an earlier date would be great for our parade but after so many years having it 2nd weekend of July don't think it will ever change. The whole weekend has been jam packed with activities...big deal in our neck of the woods..:)

Love the golf carts. We finally got our break from the heat. 3 days of clouds (mostly) and a little water, gave us a much needed break. I think we have the fires under control now too but that I would have to check to make sure of.

Yes he really does a great job with them :)....you can tell he really enjoys working on them. Glad you had your break in the heat..looks like we are in for another hot week to come with no rain in site as of yet...
