I have the canon 5D Mark iv and it will handle a higher iso for great indoor shots well. Unless your really close to the stage I suggest you rent or borrow the canon EF 70-200 f/2.8. My most used lens is my 24-70 f/2.8 but only if your close. Prime lenses are great when you control the distance and really limited for what you will most likely need
