I dont believe it was any of those things. I just thing you are prone to hyperbole. Besides who uses books anymore.

The results were: Police and fire/rescue dispatched. Along with two tow trucks. Multiple calls to multiple insurance companies. Endless reports. Hospital/doctor/therapy visits. Not to mention all the lawyers involved.
