Hi my name is Mike. I love photography. I'm Pres. of a Greyhound adoption group and love to take pictures of Greyhounds. I want to learn to take better pictures. I have a Canon Rebel xsi. I love this camera. It's the second Canon I've had. Here is one of my babies. I have three of my own.

Hi Mike and welcome!! I'm a fellow rescuer (in semi-retirement right now lol) I always took my pics of dogs outside and let the natural light work it's magic. Shoot either early morning or late afternoon for the best sun. Noontime sun washes everything out.
Get down to their level and place a large chunk of hotdog in your mouth to keep the dog's attention while shooting. LOL!

Nice picture,beautiful dog. I 'm a dog person myself. I had a Golden Retriever for 18yrs, now I have 3 little chihauhau's
