Hi

I have the following 52mm filters left over from my old Nikon film camera, and wonder if they might be worth anything on the resale market... and if so, what price range might be reasonable.

Vivitar Polarizing
Vivitar 2X ND-3
Aragon CS
Prinz 25A
Aragon Y2
Tiffen 80A

Thanks for your thoughts!
Al

I have about (20) Nikon 52mm color correction filters in various colors. Value at this point, 0.

Kind of what I thought! Ahh, for the good old days of film!

Probably not worth the time, the effort, or the postage to mail them if you sell them on eBay. Figure out how much you pay for them new, and then figure what about 25% of that would be. And maybe just maybe someone might buy it at that price.

Your ND filter is still useful today. The others not so much.

Even brand new they are only worth 10 or 20 bucks depending on type or maker. So used less than 0

I would think that polarizers and ND filters are still viable but color changing filters have no benefit for digital.

Thanks all for your reply. They will be laid to rest with all of my other film gear.

On eBay, they are certainly not "0". They usually sell for $3 to $8 a piece, depending on color. I don't know why there is such a demand for correction filters nowadays... collectors perhaps. But the demand is there nevertheless.

Could it be......I'll never understand this......Could it be that someone somewhere still shoots with film?

B&W film is having somewhat of a comeback. You might try Craig's List first to see if there are any locals interested.

Another negative is the 52mm size. But I'll check out eBay for my CC filters, thanks.

While I don't know about the value, I do know that I've bought used in very good condition filters from KEH at very reasonable prices. I guess that they might make a sweetener for a better (SLIGHTLY) price on a sale of a used camera to them. They aren't the premium brands like B+W or Heliopan, but who knows?

If it were me, I wouldn't expect much.

Save them and put them on display with your older equipment.
