A portion of it anyway...
I like the composition. Nice shot. I went to Acadia for the first time this past summer. What a wonderful, enchanting place. I hope you have more to share.
Ayuh, that Jordan Pond locale is beautiful! Love Acadia. My first visit there that I remember was "after the fire" that burned down almost half of the island and most of the "cottages" (you know, those twenty room plus places where you take your summers)?

We rent a cottage in the fall on the north part of the island near Salsbury Cove. MDI (Mount Desert Island) and Acadia and is a fantastic place!
Living on the west coast, we've nothing like the old architecture back east. Always enjoy it what back that way. Nice shot. Thanks.

We were mostly north of Ellsworth on Rte 1, giving us an easy trip to Schoodic or MDI. If you look due north across Frenchman's Bay from Salisbury Cove, you could probably spot where we stayed near Lamoine Beach. Now, we usually stay at a great B&B in Southwest Harbor. Both places are beautiful (And, if you drove up from PA, just before you started down the hill into Ellsworth, a left turn onto Christian Ridge Rd would take you out to one of the family homesteads. I remember it well because of the "three-holer in the bahn".)
IF you are able to, MDI, and most of the "mountains" on the island, are especially beautiful around Columbus Day. The first frost has usually turned the blueberry plants a bright crimson, the Birch trees are yellow, and the weather is comfortingly cool - great for long walks and easy hikes throughout the park and surrounding areas. And, the tourist areas are offering sales before they close up for the off season!

Do you miss living there???
We love walking the paths & carriage roads in Acadia and pop-overs at Jordan Pond House! I have a TON of shots from all of the trips. We were up one year when Columbus Day fell on a Tuesday.
Too many restaurants closed after that, but the colors were fantastic! Since the cottage looks out over the cove, we probably did see where you stayed. I have two recent trips to add to my web site. Here's a shot of Echo Lake from Beech Cliff Trail in Acadia. It was a week or two before full color.

A lot of the little towns in Maine are really neat to go through.
