I do think the colours in this image will lend themselves well to a metal print. If you have it printed, please post a photograph of the print here. I would love to see it.
Honest opinion: A very nice sunset. Print it on metal. I think you'll like it a lot. The image is sharp and the colors appear to be natural and not over-processed. Good job!
FWIW, I would consider cutting this into two pictures. One would cut off the top to eliminate any hint of the blue sky. This would concentrate the attention to the light radiating upward and the reflection.
The second would cut off the bottom eliminating all the water and reflection, concentrating on how the sun lights up the sky.

I like how you caught not just the glow of the sunset, but the golden hues of the grass tie it all together. Makes for an unusually interesting foreground element. Others might argue technicalities of sharpness, but I doubt you are going to put it up for sale in a gallery. A shiny metal print hanging on your wall will grab visitors attention and be an instant lead-in to a discussion of your photographic adventures.

Thanks, Greg. I also like how the sunlight reached the grass stalks and gave them a yellow tint to match the sunrise. All-in-all, this is one of the prettier sunrises I've seen at the lake, so I was lucky to be happening by at the right moment.
Speaking of timing, your reply was timed perfectly, too, as I finally ordered one from Costco that should be ready this week -- in time for father's Day, as an 11x14 metal print of this is my gift to my dad this year. I'm sure he will love it.
And to anyone else reading this who offered advice, thank you! I tried different things based on your advice, including different crops. I think I'll take a pic of the metal print when I get it and post it here for y'all to see how it turned out.

Please do. I'd like to see which overcame - crops or no-crops. Whichever, that photo is just about bombproof.
