Can anyone give me any good information and pointers for the upcoming Air Show? Like what to watch, where to try and station one, what time to come, etc.
Thanks for your replies in advance.

Set it for fast shutter. Go early stay all day.
Shutter speed will vary depending upon whether you are photographing prop-driven planes or jet aircraft. Anything faster than 1/500 will likely freeze the propeller motion; with jets, you may want to shoot at 1/2000 or faster if trying to capture two jets opposing one another.
Above all the other great suggestions above, think about these.
1. Get there before the gates open. I have been to some where they offered a "photographers package" where you can enter early and get up close to the planes
2. Bring a chair, sometimes there are gaps between "acts"
3. Sunscreen!
4. See if you can find out where they will leave/enter the tarmac along the fence line, this will give you great head on shots.
5. Bring a friend so that if you have to leave your spot you can get back there. Once you leave the fence line, (if that's where you so choose to shoot from) it will fill in quickly and you won't get back there.
6. Water!
I was at one a few years ago and not knowing what to expect didn't do any of the above. It was about 90 degrees that day!
