I experienced DSLR snobbery a couple weeks ago.
I experienced the opposite in Nov 2016. in order to serve as our daughter's co-driver as she drove back to Indiana from San Diego, I rode trains South Bend - Chicago - Los Angeles - San Diego. Her car would be crowded, so the only camera kit I took with me was my small Pentax 4.65-crop MILC Q-7 ...which happens to be yellow! A gentleman with a standard black Nikon DSLR was on the same car during the Chicago - Los Angeles leg. This was the last car on the train, so we both used the back door as a window to take pictures along the route - but he showed every courtesy to me at those rare places where we both wanted to take a photograph.

Like myself, most Nikon owners are considerate people; and that is true for most Pentax owners and Canon and Olympus and Sony and Panasonic and Fuji and many other brands.
