We had a GREAT guide on our bus tour, so he knew all the places to get the best shots! Looks like a postcard to me, so
I haven't entered it into any shows. :(

I had to really search for a barn in my area. Growing up in the 50's and 60' the hills around town had many cattle and dairy ranches. Today they have all been replaced with homes. I found this little barn on the old McIntyre Ranch. The ranch is now owned by the Greater Vallejo Recreation Department. It is the site of a future park.

I moved to Vallejo in 1973 and lived there for 23 years. For a while I worked in San Ramon which was a 30 mile commute each way. When I was in no hurry to get to work instead of going down Columbus Parkway to pickup the freeway I would go down Lake Herman Road to reach the freeway. This barn was a fixture along Lake Herman Road so one day I stopped and snapped a picture of it. This would have been in the late '70s sometime. My wife had the picture enlarged and framed and has been hanging on one wall or another since then.
