A digital single-lens reflex camera (also called a digital SLR or DSLR) is a digital camera that combines the optics and the mechanisms of a single-lens reflex camera with a digital imaging sensor, as opposed to photographic film. The reflex design scheme is the primary difference between a DSLR and other digital cameras. In the reflex design, light travels through the lens, then to a mirror that alternates to send the image to either the viewfinder or the image sensor. Wikipedia
What kind of lenses does it take?

Are you the original owner and as far as being "fully checked and tested" was it sent to Canon to be checked, if not then could you please tell me who checked the camera out. Do you also have any lenses for this camera or are you upgrading and just plan on keeping the lens or lenses. Thank you.

Canon's mirrorless M-series camera system includes "EF-M" lenses. There are relatively few of those available from Canon, so far (last time I looked they offered eight, six of which were zooms.... all of which use STM or "stepper motor" focus drive).
There also are adapters to allow use of Canon EF and EF-S lenses. (Those are Canon's DSLR lenses: EF are full frame & crop sensor compatible, EF-S are APS-C crop only.... There approx. 90 different EF & EF-S lenses currently in production.)
There also are some interesting third party lenses being offered in EF-M mount now. Many appear to be manual focus/manual aperture (Samyang/Rokinon/Bower, for example).
And, many vintage, manual focus/manual aperture lenses for both SLRs and rangefinders can be easily adapted for use on the M-series cameras.... including Leica M-bayonet and M39 screwmount, Canon FD/FL, Tamron Adaptall lenses and many more.

Since the M5 sells for about $930 new I think your price is a little high. Also I expect that its new price will be even lower since the M50 is in the $900 plus price range. Just a heads up.
