I like it! If you don't like it you are free to do what you like, go for it!

Why would you not want daylight in the early evening during late Spring and Summer months? Here in the northern mid-Atlantic we enjoy some longer daylight after a long and dreary Winter.
Because I would like to go out on my screened porch and read my morning paper and have my coffee at 6:30 am in the spring and summer.
I agree with the politicians who want Florida to remain on DST all year long. No change from EST so no con from the changes. Longer evenings which I love. Let the other eastern states do as they please.
Just so you know, unless the feds agree to allow it, Florida can’t implement the change on its own, unlike Arizona which stays on EST all year long.
Of course you’re right. They stay on it all year long. Wouldn’t it make things more interesting if each year or two, every state had to choose their time zone randomly?
This is what they call a first world problem. People with too much time on their hands worrying about small and inconsequential matters.
Here in western New York you can begin at 5:30 AM, with full daylight in Spring and Summer to read your paper on your porch.
I'd love to see daylight savings stay year round. I like having light to work with in the late afternoon and evening.
I live in Arizona where we remain on standard time year around. I like it that way. The only negative is that during the summer season, the sunrise is 4:45 AM, but because of the heat, it is best to get up and out early before the heat of the day.
Sounds like the issue is very much climate and locale dependent.
Good bless the State of Florida.....I LIVED IN Hawaii FOR 7 great years.....no daylight savings time and it felt like a perk living there. Voted unamiousily but there is something that has to be ok`ed by the Federal Government but the President does like this state. I am 70 years and never liked DST.
The vote in Florida is to keep DST permanent, not the other way around.
I live in southwestern Idaho. If you follow the longitudinal lines, we should be in the Pacific zone, like our friends in northern Idaho. Some group of geniuses put us in the Mountain zone, so in effect we are already on DST. By mid-June, it won't be dark until after 10 pm. It's like double DST. Golfers, tennis players, etc., enjoy it, but they are a minority.
