Visited Kingston Ontario last weekend and fell in love with the 1095. This beauty hasn't moved in years but i thought I would give it a try. (shot 4) As always, C&C welcome.
That's a very well maintained locomotive. I especially liked the closeups of the wheels fitted on the rails. Nice shots.
Great set and loved the last one!
Is that last picture supposed to be blurred ?
It makes me dizzy looking at it !?
Nice series, though blurring the last one, I guess to simulate motion doesn't work quite as intended. Really though, you have to appreciate the beauty of those great machines.
I liked everyone of these image...you did a great job.
Love old Steam was opposed to modern Diesel/electric.
My dad was a railroad guy his entire life.
Nice work.
Very nice set! Love the old steam trains. Cheers.

Many thanks for all your kind replies. That last one was supposed to simulate motion and I took about 10 handheld panning shots and this one was the best of the bunch.
Nice work. I love these massive machines that have precise machined parts. The craftsmanship of the people who made them is probably very rare today. I am fortunate to live near the Pennsylvania Railroad Museum in Strasburg Pa. and they have several operating steam locomotives. They have excursions that take about an hour through the beautiful Lancaster County farmland. There is a repair/restoration shop there that serves clients worldwide. Thanks for the post.
