CA Jays Love Peanuts

Part of the feeding frenzy yesterday (drizzle off and on today so far with even more birds at feeders and in the yard).
This Jay has already shelled the peanut and just after this swallowed it.

That's not all they love. Nice shot of a lovely bird. I always like they way they looked and sounded.

They do eat almost anything. But when I put out peanuts in the shell I get more Jays and they go for them first.

Thanks, he was happy he beat the elephants to this one. Oh, wait, my little Jack Russell keeps the elephants out of the yard. Along with the saber tooths and dragons. She is so proud of what a ferocious hunter she is I don't have the heart to tell her they are opossums, field mice and lizards. But I also tell her that the Dog License on her collar is her badge as "Chief of the Yard Police".
