I'm an amateur photographer (and retired computer programmer) living in Colorado (since 1989). I've been active with digital since 2005 and was into film photography in the mid- to late-80's while living in Northern California.
Sports is my main subject (especially baseball, also football and basketball). Other subjects include nature (mostly landscapes/birds), dark/moody, "long" exposure (largely under 5 seconds, including hubcaps in motion), intentional camera movement, minimalism, utility poles, black and white, people, silhouettes, and whatever else catches my eye. I don't see my (better) photos as complete until I've made video photoshows from them, set to music, and timed to lyrics as much as practicable.
Until moving 85 miles (within Colorado) in May, 2016, I was the de facto photographer for most of ten years for the Centennial State League (CSL), a summer, college-level baseball league in the northern Colorado Front Range. Now I'm doing a similar thing for a high school football team.
I've emphasized getting out and shooting over book/video/website learning. I look forward to learning more about editing, shooting techniques, equipment, etc/whatever from this forum including as a contributor as I learn some of that on my own.
I've put 7,000+* pics on flickr and my best 350 or so on smugmug. Facebook is between those two (but mostly friends-only).

I use a Canon 7D and a 7D Mark II, primarily with Canon 70-200/2.8 and Canon 28-135/3.5 now.
I used a Canon T90 with Tokina 100-300 in the 80's.
My current pride and joy is set to "Promise Land", by Hannah Miller.
